How to Request Account Deletion

If you would like to delete your Banter account and associated data, you can do so in one of the following ways:

• In-app:
  Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the instructions.

• Via email:
  Send a request to hello@banter.world with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
  Please include the email or phone number associated with your account.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you request account deletion:

• Your account profile and personal information will be permanently deleted

• Your conversation history with AI partners will be removed

• Any stored preferences and learning progress will be erased

Data Retention

• We may retain limited data where required for legal, security, or fraud prevention purposes

• This data will be deleted in accordance with applicable laws and internal policies

Processing Time

• Most deletion requests are processed within 5 minutes

• Full removal from backups may take up to 7 days
